IRC Channel
Our IRC channel is #uplinklounge and can be found on the Freenode network, however, we are now currently running our own server at irc.uplinklounge.com. We are currently using ports 6667 for regular connections, while SSL encrypted connections are allowed on port 6697.
Historically we have hosted IRC ourselves from a member's connection to maintain as much control over the service as possible, but currently there is no good way for us to do that. The ISP's of most of our members do not allow this. Furthermore, it is beneificial to us to put our channel on a more popular and frequented network to bring in more people.
